Santo Maris Oia Luxury Suites & Spa
Oia Santorini Greece
on via Tripadvisor.com

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights before moving onto Mykonos. I wanted to stay at an ultra luxury hotel in the heart of Oia, but I wanted to be able to relax in our plunge pool in privacy. None of the hotels along the classic Oia corridor offer this privacy without paying over 2k per night. Santo Maris is set on an expansive piece of land( expansive for Oia) with spectacular sunset views. Although we didn't opt for the more expensive room, our room sufficed with a great location next to one of the pools and expansive living room with a separate bedroom and a small kitchenette( which we obviously didn't use). Service was amazing, although we only stayed for three days, we became familiar with the staff and really appreciated their level of service and dedication to the guest. Not once did we run into one of the staff without being greeted or smiled at. This hotel is on the newer side and unlike most hotels in Oia, you don't have to walk up tons of stairs to move around the property. This hotel has a small path that takes 5 to 10 minutes walking along a lit corridor to get into the heart of the Oia village. I initially thought that not being directly in the village would be problem, but it was great. Loved having the ability to "get away" from the crowds. I will absolutely return to this luxury hotel. One gripe, they gave us champagne on arrival, but instead of Mr and Mr Bradley, the card read Mr and Mrs. Bradley. Luckily my boyfriend and I just laughed rather than taking offense, even though I made it clear who we were before arriving. This hotel like wine, is only going to get better with time!

I visited the beautiful Santo Maris luxury hotel back in August, and I can honestly say this has been one of the most extraordinary and memorable stays I’ve had throughout my 30 years of travelling. As an avid traveller, I have come to realize that the standard one expects at luxury accommodations is exclusivity, privacy, fine dining, and great staff. Although I can rave about all of these factors (because Santo Maris executes all of them), I would like to share a few memories of my trip that are entirely unique – that we experienced only as a result of the extreme generosity of the Santo Maris family. I travelled to Oia with my two girls to celebrate my youngest daughter’s recent graduation from high school. From the moment we stepped onto the beautiful property, we were greeted by warm smiles, cold drinks and we were immediately escorted into our private suite by golf buggy. After one of the receptionists overheard that my daughter had achieved her high school milestone, the staff immediately delivered a complimentary cake that exclaimed "Congratulations!", which we found to our pleasant surprise after a day relaxing at the pool and enjoying our private jacuzzi. Even Sofia, our maid, kindly brought us cookies whenever we saw her, sharing in the joyous occasion that prompted this holiday in the first place. It is this kind of attention to detail that differentiates Santo Maris from other high-end hotels. During our stay, we were able to enjoy the many incredible amenities and services that are offered at Santo Maris. We were incredibly impressed by the world class salon services. Not only did we have skilled masseuses who were very accommodating to my back injury, but they treated my daughters in such a kind manner, always making them feel comfortable and relaxed. For instance, one of my daughters suffers from a severe nut allergy, so I particularly appreciated the salon’s quick accommodation of this by substituting their almond oil with an option that would work for my daughter. Their flexibility and effortlessness in accommodating my daughter, with absolutely no fuss, really stood out to me. As you can expect, our experience with fine dining was no exception at this world class hotel. It was always a pleasure to see Konstantinous, our waiter, at the Alios Ilios restaurant as he brought out delectable dishes. One of my fondest memories from this trip was watching the sunset go down, in the comfort of Santo Maris, while enjoying a wonderful live jazz band. The receptionists, without fail, also directed us to the best restaurants and attractions around town. Our last night was no exception, as we went to the Sunset Ammoudi Taverna where we enjoyed the freshest seafood and sweet loukounades desserts! But what truly made our night was the kindness of Vasilis, an incredibly warm employee who voluntarily picked us up in his van from the restaurant to watch the sunset go down...just in the knick of time!  Although Santorini is known to be a honeymoon location, this was the perfect mother-daughter trip for us as a result of the kindness of the Santo Maris family. I can’t say it enough... you really can't get the full Santorini experience without Santo Maris! I will continue to recommend this hotel to all my friends and family abroad. Trust me on this one, Santo Maris is a place that you will never forget! Please visit if you have a chance; you won't regret it!

Deluxe luxury hotel. Excellent service. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Private comfortable luxury suites with own outdoor spa. Included breakfast was amazing with freshly cooked food and beverages ordered off the menu as well as buffet. 5 minutes walking distance from downtown Oia. We enjoyed our stay very much.

3 day stay from 09/15 to 09/19/2017. We arrived at the very helpful front desk to a champagne greeting. Taken to our own separate villa in a golf cart. Tourist book cruises and special tours to see the famous Santorini sunset. At the Santo Maris you can watch it from the very serene infinity pool while being pampered by the very attentive staff. Attention to detail and service is their strength surrounded by understated elegant suites.Full, fresh breakfast buffet or a-la-la carte omelettes. Walking distance (a short uphill pathway) from the beautiful, but sometimes crowded, village of Oia. You can't go wrong with this one.

The hotel and grounds are spectacular. The main infinity pool is the perfect place to watch the sunset and enjoy the views. The service here is wonderful and every little need we had was taken care of immediately. Location wise, the hotel is great...short walk into Oia and all of it's restaurants and bars. Our room was wonderful, clean and very quiet. All in all, it was a tremendous stay

My wife and I were completely stunned and can’t stop thinking about how incredible this hotel was in every single aspect - it was a completely flawless experience. We can’t imagine having spent our honeymoon anywhere else but here, it made the occasion so incredibly special for us. Here’s why!... We arrived early and were shown the early arrivals room which was honestly good enough to be a hotel room in and of itself! The room had a full service bathroom, a very comfortable day bed and enough privacy for us to have a nap and feel refreshed before starting the day. We awoke from our nap and the hotel organized a buggy for us (tip: it’s an absolute must to hire a buggy to get around Santorini - it’s also really fun!) which was delivered in no less than 15 mins. The concierge planned out a perfect day trip for us (with four trip options for us to choose from), including some restaurants to choose from depending on how we decided to spend the day. We chose the option which involved wine (it was our honeymoon after all!) and decided to take our buggy for a ride to Santo Wine Winery. The view from the winery was picturesque we came back to find all our luggage in our room and the most incredible room facilities. After enjoying a sample of their best, we made our way back to the hotel. Riding the buggy to and from the hotel you really come to appreciate the location of the hotel in Oia. It’s not in the busy centre but just a few minutes away if you want to visit any of the famous locations (eg: The Three Blue Domes). The restaurants at Amoudi Bay were just a five mins away and the seafood is great value and some of the best we’ve eaten. Upon arrival, the friendly staff had moved our bags from arrival room to our Junior Suite with a sea view. The suite was incredibly spacious with an open plan and a contemporary design but still in line with the rest of Santorini’s stunning Cycladic architecture. We were greeted by a complimentary bottle of French champagne, beach towel and a handwritten note welcoming us which was the perfect accompaniment to help us enjoy our private jacuzzi which was ready and warm. The concierge impressed us again with a handwritten note confirming our preferred restaurant was booked for that evening. Making our way through the rest of the room we were so happy with everything. The pillows and mattress were exact to our liking, the shower and bathroom was spacious, clean and modern and the TV in the perfect spot to enjoy a movie from bed after our dinner. If the private spa wasn’t enough, we also found out that the suites had their own large secluded pool which was only shared by a couple of other suites which meant we were there by ourselves to enjoy the sun for most days (with room service delivering food and drink poolside!). Later in our stay we were always pleasantly surprised every evening coming home to the turn down service with our bed freshly made and complimentary chocolates on our bed. Whilst poolside, we were also greeted with complimentary aloe vera facial treatments from the Spa on-site which one Greece’s Best Resort Spa for 2017 in the World Spa Awards. This was just a taste for the ‘honeymoon experience’ we booked the following day which included a complementary extension of our 2 ½ hour massage and facial treatment by 15-mins redeemable as either a facial or massage as part of our stay at the resort. This resort is in Oia and we haven’t even mentioned the sunset?! Well, lucky you if you stay here because you’re going to get an uninterrupted view away from all the tourists, sipping a cocktail laying back on one of the comfy pool chairs by the main stunning infinity pool (yep, get your instagram ready - the photos will be your most-liked yet!). The bartender told me that he could literally make any drink I requested (I definitely tested this a few times throughout our stay!) If the private view of the sunset isn’t enough to blow you away, the postcard views from your breakfast table at the restaurant will. The breakfast buffet was the best we have ever experienced with everything you could want. Fresh juices, omelets, tasty coffee (and pancakes!) were something to look forward to every morning. After a few drinks by the pool, we went on to dinner. The restaurant there was a high-end and a gastronomic experience but I was absolutely blown away by the surprise my wife arranged for us - a private candlelit dinner on suite’s terrace. It was a complete surprise. I walked into jazz music and candles lighting the way to the dinner table set outside which had a perfect view of the sunset. We had the same waiter for the evening who was extremely friendly and ensured we had the most memorable dinner experience. Most importantly, this hotel is run and staffed with incredibly happy and friendly people. We knew this from the first instance when we had an issue with the transfer we booked from the airport, so took a taxi instead. We shared our story with the hotel when we arrived and without even asking the hotel organised a free transfer for us for when we had to return to the airport, at their expense - even though the problem had nothing to do with them! It was from this moment that we knew this hotel would be something we had never before experienced and that it is the most special place we have ever stayed at. The only regret and downside of our stay was that we didn’t have time to stay any longer! If you’re looking for somewhere to stay for your honeymoon, relaxing break or to treat yourself - this hotel is your best option and in a class of it’s own. We look forward to travelling back to Santorini and staying at Santo Maris Oia Suites & Spa as often we can to relive the most remarkable holiday experience we’ve had in our lives!

Great property on the quiet side of Oia (but only a short walk away from the crowds) with great sunset views! Exceptional service from very attentive staff, spacious rooms and great breakfast! Highly recommended.
Pros: Extremely friendly and helpful staff

We spent 4 nights at Santo Maris in mid September and could not recommend it more! It is a new hotel with a huge focus on service. The location is beautiful - it is a 5 mins walk into downtown Oia, but on the non-caldera side so you get amazing sunset views & it feels more private / remote. The servers at the pool and restaurants were super accommodating and lovely. Design is classic Greek but modern... we stayed in room 104 and it was private but with a good view. The Guest Services team helped to coordinate a day out on the sailboat, arranging transfers and making it easy. Perfect for couples looking for a little bit of heaven. We can't wait to return!

Beautiful place, great hospitality fantastic location with amazing attention to detail. We felt very pampered by the entire friendly staff and their very genuine attention. The location of the place has a great advantage of being quite close to the main attraction yet it has enough isolation from the crowds. Highly recommended.

-Rien le séjour était super! +Le service est excellent et les chambres sont très spacieuses

The hotel is very beautiful and perfect for a honeymoon retreat. Each suite has its own private jet pool and everything was very clean. We were surprised with a bottle of champagne on the first day of arrival. Also, we were offered a complimentary 15 minute massage at the spa. Diana the therapist was wonderful and her technique really soothed the pain of walking around all day. You can also add that 15 mins to any spa packages they offer. The breakfast items were quite extensive in the morning. We enjoyed the cold bar and the hot items off the menu. The hotel offered plenty of complimentary water in the room and by the pool. A few things at the hotel that made it less perfect was the following: 1. there was a green flashing light in the bedroom which made it very hard to sleep well at night 2. one of our window was left opened by the housekeeper while we were away, anyone could have entered our room 3. the floor in the breakfast area was slippery and wet every morning, seems like a hazard to guests 4. would be nice if the main infinity pool is heated Overall, we had a wonderful stay, the room service was one of the best meal we had in Santorini. Just the little things that bothered us, when we expressed it to the hotel, they didnt really seem to have the time to get back to us. But cant complain, because the staff were all very pleasant and wonderful!

My sister and I vacationed in Greece earlier this month. While in Santorini, we booked a Junior Suite with a Sea View at Santo Maris. The room was spacious with a kitchenette, small sitting area, bed, and bath off to the side. We had a private hot tub, overlooking a pool, which overlooked the sea. Unfortunately, due to a noise related situation not related to Santo Maris, our first night was really disrupted. I spoke to someone at the front desk who was going to look in to it. We went on an excursion that day, and when we returned, we were told to please gather our things in our room, as we were being relocated to a villa. And what a villa it was!! We were so impressed that our concerns were not brushed off, but dealt with swiftly. Excellent customer service! The property is very conveniently located in Oia -but it is not on the Calderas side. The sunset from the bar/pool area was spectacular (and even better from our villa)!

The suites were beautifully fitted out and we loved our spa suite. Views are gorgeous. Staff were exceptional, perfec service. I actually left my passports in our safe and they were really helpful and sorted the problem promptly. Food was delicious

The hotel is lovely! What a place and only a few minutes walk from the centre of Oia. This hotel is relatively new but it is very quiet and relaxing. We were there for four nights at the end of honeymoon and it was perfect to relax. The service is exceptional and the breakfast a great start to the day! Only thing was in October it was beginning to get a bit colder so the pool was pretty cold. Our villa was amazing, clean, spacious, luxurious. Thoroughly recommend staying!

Make no mistake Santorini is getting spoilt( because its so beautiful) by the thousands of cruise ship visitors. Oia is at the top of the island where people crowd to get the classic sunset with blue and white houses photos. This hotel however has the best views in town where you can laze by the pool with no crowds and a drink in your hand. Be careful as the pools aren't heated and in October were too cold except for the hardiest swimmers. In fact if theres' one criticism they should heat at least one of the four pools - although this would be less of a problem in the summer. The staff are fantastic with nothing too much trouble and always with a smiley face. Its a nice place to do nothing and we lazed by our own jacuzzi each morning until around 3pm when we lost the sun - Villa 210. (A South or West facing villa would have been better to have our own sundowners). Nothing for kids here which was fine by us; as was the steep walk 10 minutes up hill to Oia village with all its expensive shops and restaurants. We had a meal in the hotel restaurant the first night and it was excellent with a view of the sunset from our table although it acclimatised us to the prices with a bottle of red at €40. You can walk down to the port in about 20 minutes which is a lovely spot for a leisurely lunch but assume you'll take a taxi back up the hill. It could get windy and although we ate outside every night it was getting bit nippy in mid October. We took the bus to Fira (20 minutes and €1.80 fare) which was an exciting coast road drive in itself. Although this is where the ships dock, the prices seemed much lower than Oia where it was assumed you were rich. All in all a lovely place to stay with great breakfasts to start your day.

Had an amazing time here and was treated so nicely from all the staff from check-in to check-out. Location is ideal in that it's a 5 minute walk to Oia. It's A great place to watch the sunset with no crowds and photographers blocking your view. Just grab a chair at the pool and you're set. I do recommend that if you have a hot tub, to tell the front desk to have it warm for you at least four hours in advance of when you plan to use it, since they take three hours to warm up. That was my only critique!

on via Booking.com

-The hot tub bubbles wasn't very strong. They need lights down the run that leads to the property. It gets very dark at night. +The decor is beautiful and most of all the staff was very friendly and always had a smile of their faces. The infinity pool view was just incredible. We liked that the property was just out from the town so it was so quiet but a 5 minute walk from the town.

Hotel de charme très bien placé avec une vue superbe, proche du village d'oia et du petit port, petit déjeuner copieux et varie avec des jus de fruits "maison" chambre typique avec jacuzzi privé sur la terrasse un réel bonheur

We had a wonderful time staying here for 3 nights. The bungalows are cozy and so comfortable we slept in until 9a, which is unusual for us early-risers. We felt that every need was cared for here - the hotel contacted us before our stay, arranged a pickup for us from the airport, had us have breakfast while waiting for an early check in - we arrived around 10am and they were nice to accommodate us. They gave us little treats - welcome bottle of wine, chocolates ;). We loved the view of the sunset from here - can’t say enough about this place!!
