We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in August 2019 and booked a junior suite with sea view, room 205. Overall the hotel itself, its location, the views, customer service was very good and matched our expectations. However i was disappointed in a couple of things. The room itself was decorated to a high standard and was great inside but whilst looking left we had a sea view, we were also within 20 yards of the road and over looked by a set of garages being used as a small warehouse. Consequently when we were sitting on the balcony it was quite noisy and we were watching vans coming and going either delivering or collecting crates of drinks. Maybe only a small thing but when paying 600+ euro a night its not what i expected. The other point was the breakfast which was ok but scrambled eggs and bacon for example were regularly cold, small point perhaps but again worth mentioning when paying a high daily rate. So overall pretty good but maybe let down by the room we were allocated and a couple of small points.

We stayed at this hotel for 8 fantastic nights. Our suite was lovely with a sunset view from our terrace. The hotel is lovely, the bar, the spa the many pools, all beautifully kept. The concierge helped us get the best tables at the restaurants we visited. The service in the hotel is the best, every member of staff, nothing is too much trouble. A wonderful holiday.

Very beautiful property with great staff. Excellent location, very peaceful and quiet, away from too much hustle and bustle, but only 10 min walk from the hustle and bustle so great inbetween.

Our stay at Santo Maris was flawless. The service in particular was impeccable. The hotel is ideally situated, as it’s very near Oia town and Amoudi bay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Santorini. Thanks for having us and see you soon.

Love this place. Will definitely come back. Walking distance to center of Oia with lots of shopping, restaurants and breathtaking views Santorini is known for. Hotel service was great, amenities excellent. Highly recommend

This visit to Santorini was for our 25th wedding anniversary. We were impressed from the moment our driver picked us up at the airport and delivered us to the resort. We were given a mini tour in a golf cart around the grounds then delivered to our stunning room. When we arrived they had our bed covered in rose petals, a bottle of champagne with walnuts and honey waiting for us in honour of our 25th. The room was spacious and the bed was quite comfortable compared to the horrible bed we slept in while we were in Athens. We arrived in time to enjoy the stunning sunsets that Santorini is known for. We were not disappointed at all. A 5 star breakfast was provided with lots to choose from each morning overlooking the pool area. They have a very nice pool with plenty of loungers for their guests. They keep you well supplied with bottles of water, as the water is not drinkable on the island. We were a very short 10 minute walk from town, which was nice. As we were just far enough away from all the hustle and bustle to be able to really enjoy the village of Oia. Each night we were able to retire to our room with our own private hottub. I highly recommend this resort!

OUTSTANDING! The location of this hotel is fantastic as it looks out towards the most amazing sunset. It is a beautifully laid out resort with a modern/traditional twist. We can not thank the staff enough at this hotel ! Every member of staff ( porters, reception, bar staff, waiters etc )were friendly and very helpful. The Guest Experience staff were also fantastic, very knowledgable and made our stay hassle free when planning trips and making reservations. The hotel accommodation is beautiful, the suites are stunning and very well maintained. The resort is 5 mins walk from Oia’s Center which is exceptionally busy but due to Santo Maris location which is so peaceful and tranquil you have the perfect holiday. This has been the best holiday by far and didn’t want to leave! We highly recommended this resort and will definitely be returning as this has been one of our best holidays ever!

Personnel et équipe très sympathique et aux petits soins. Hôtel magnifique à quelques minutes à pied du centre de Oia mais au calme et légèrement excentré du tumulte du centre. Merci à toute l’équipe du Santo Maris

The resort was amazing. Beautiful pools and the food was great. Great view from all angle of the resort. The staffs was very attentive and helpful. - The pictures of the room that shows on the booking site was inaccurate from what they room that was given to us. That is my only complaint.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in the hotel for 10 days for our summer vacation in 2019. Our goal is mainly just to relax and read in a beautiful hotel and do as little as possible except for a few tourist activities here and there (for which we recommend the 20 people boat tour experience). The hotel, Santo Maris, fulfills most of our expectations. What we liked about the hotel: The architecture - it is of a modern interpretation of the traditional dwellings. The hotel is arranged like a small village. Lots of private pools start from the main pool (but only the main pool has staff service). Very spacious, clean and lots of privacy. The view - the hotel is not facing into the caldera. However, it is very close to the ocean. The hotel also has a lot of seats for chilling in front of the pool or looking into the ocean. We enjoyed the ocean and sunset view very much. The location - some people may prefer to be inside the villages and the main town. But we liked the fact that we are slightly out of town and away from the noise and the buzz. The hotel is about 10 min walk from the main town of Oia through a small footpath. The staffs - The staff looking after the pool area was very attentive and with a very great smile. The guest experience staffs were very friendly and with great suggestions. The restaurant, the romantic bar, and room service was very good, helpful, knowledgable, and we have had some good conversations. We enjoyed the spa as well and recommend our massagers - Eleanor and Martha. Generally, we like the approachability and quite personal service. What we don’t like so much: The music - in the afternoon hours, there would be a very trashy electronic disco music channel playing in the restaurant and pool area (the sort of music you would expect to be playing in the dance floor of an underground club after mid-night when everyone’s drunk and unconcious). There was one time when we requested if they can change the music maybe to something more loungie or something else (anything as long as it’s not disco like). But our request was turned down by the staff with the explanation that the music is the management’s selection, they cannot change it… There is a rigidity in the management system that is the only unpleasant experience we’ve came across in the whole trip. We both think, judging from the age group and demographic of the guests we’ve observed, the music selection is definitely a mis-judgement (i.e. my boyfriend put it as, if you are paying that sort of money to stay in a hotel like that, those would not be the sort of music you would like to listen to). Definitely not the best background music especially if you would like to just read and relax in front of the ocean view. The steam & sauna room - need to pay to use these two facilities. The spa pricing - it’s on the upper scale. You can expect an hour to be approximately 120 euros or more per person. Overall recommended. If the music selection’s changed, we may go back again.

Booked through Barrhead travel and was very happy our choice of hotel. The staff in the hotel (the porters, the cleaners, the receptionists and spa) were courteous, polite and dedicated. They made every effort to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. The room was specious and very clean, the jacuzzi in our balcony soothing after active days and the swimming pool overlooking the Aegean Sea quiet and delightfully welcoming. One of the best hols I had.

We have just spent a week here on a bed and breakfast basis. The suite was fabulous, Bohemian chic at its best! We even had a separate bedroom which was an added bonus as our 17 year old daughter was with us. The large pool ( one of five!) was just outside our large terrace with a jacuzzi and we had the pool to ourselves almost every day! Despite the fact that the hotel was full, it never feels crowded. Just a 4 minute walk from the glorious mayhem of Oia, the hotel is an oasis of calm with sea views ( although not of the Caldera) and very helpful staff on hand to help, particularly the lovely lady at the Guest Experience desk. The spa is heavenly too!

It was a very good stay and the property has potential to get even better. The front desk staff were slow and not very sharp, seemed anxious. but everything else was very good. Restaurant for dinner was okay... i’d not eat dinner there again. the breakfast and all day poolside service was excellent. Rooms are pricey but worth it. Pool, gym, private pools were great, too. all around, i’d visit again but front desk staff need to loosen up.
